Designer Me
I have been blogging since 2003, but my experience in design began a lot earlier than that. I started with a little creative writing magazine hosted on Geocities and eventually outgrew the services of a free host. My creative writing site became a creative writing E-zine called Epiphany: a celebration in writing. I didn’t make any money off that site so I had to learn HTML and eventually CSS in order to keep it running and looking spiffy. After moving the mag to a self-hosted domain name, I played around with the very early versions of WordPress. That is when I truly got into designing. I am a huge fan of WordPress. It is very user-friendly and allows the flexibility of a blog or a full website. I do not design for any other CMS, but that may change in the future.
In addition to this site, I also maintain a personal blog, an education blog, and a school website. I am a freelance writer contributing articles for many different venues. I also own and operate a Branding/Media Marketing company called Eventful Horizons. We are currently in the start-up phase and will launch soon.
Normal Me
I am a Mom on the Rise to a rambunctious two-year-old, a wife, a High School English Teacher(currently on leave), and a very crafty lady (when I have time). I enjoy reading, playing stinky-feet, telling people about cool/bad buys, and trying to figure out- like many other moms- how to raise a well-rounded child.
